Thinking About Buying Life Insurance For My Kids Scares Me

I am looking to get an insurance plan to my newborn child. I think it may be a good idea to get a children whole life insurance plan to save for their future. I have considered many different investment options and I like that this one builds cash value unlike a term life insurance children policy. The idea of getting insurance for my kids does scare me very much, however. It's just not something that I want to think about.
